Frankie Cosmos release new single "Aftershook"
Frankie Cosmos have delivered new single "Aftershook" as the second outing from their upcoming album Inner World Peace.
After announcing their Inner World Peace album with the lead single "One Year Stand" at the start of the month, Frankie Cosmos have shared a second preview of the record with "Aftershook", which is teamed with a Andy Rose Fidoten-directed video.
The band's Greta Kline says, ""Aftershook" is about processing the past, and grappling with maintaining a balanced ratio of emotional awareness and hopefulness. The clown represents my fear of growing up into the kind of stunted adult that toxically influenced my youth."
Inner World Peace will follow 2019's Close It Quietly. The new album is co-produced by Frankie Cosmos, Nate Mendelsohn and Katie Von Schleicher, and was recorded at Figure 8 Recording in Brooklyn, New York.
"Aftershook" is out now. Frankie Cosmos' Inner World Peace album will be released through Sub Pop Records on 21 October, and is available to pre-order now.
