Francis Of Delirium announces their debut album, Lighthouse
Francis of Delirium – AKA 22-year old Luxembourg based Jana Bahrich – has announced their forthcoming debut album, Lighthouse, alongside the brand new single, "Blue Tuesday".
As Francis of Delirium has progressed over 3 EPs – All Change, Wading and The Fun House – and two previously released album tracks "Real Love" and "First Touch", which were both produced by Catherine Marks (boygenius, The Killers, Wolf Alice), the sound of the project is shifting.
Speaking on the new single, Bahrich says: ""Blue Tuesday" was a chance to go back a little bit to our original sound, heavy guitars, uptempo, in your face music. We are a band that really loves to play live, sweaty, messy and physical music, so it felt important to have this song be part of the album.”
“For this album, hope is the prevailing feeling I'm left with after making it and listening to it. The idea is that there is this light guiding you out into a space where you can be more open and accepting of love and joy. Even as you gain or lose love, it never really goes away; it just transforms itself, moving into other relationships with you," they add.
The announcement of Lighthouse comes following a busy year of touring with the likes of Soccer Mommy, Briston Maroney, Horsegirl, The Districts and hitting Eurosonic, Iceland Airwaves and Tree Fort Fest, as well as opening for The 1975 and Kings of Leon.
As well as a headline show at The Lexington in London tomorrow evening (15 November), Francis of Delirium will be heading out on an EU and UK tour in 2024, including stops in Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Rotterdam, Dublin, Edinburgh, Manchester, and London's Oslo on 14 May.
