Foo Fighters share ten minute track "The Teacher" alongside short film
Foo Fighters share the final offering of But Here We Are ahead of its release, this Friday, with brand new single, "The Teacher".
Following on from last week's release "Show Me How", which featured vocals from Dave Grohl's daughter, Violet, and previous singles, "Under You", and "Rescued", which signalled the band's return after the passing of their longtime drummer, Taylor Hawkins, Foo Fighters have shared a final single ahead of their eleventh album's release.
"The Teacher" is the longest song that the band has ever recorded, and is accompanied by a short film directed by multimedia artist Tony Oursler.
Known since the late 1970s for his body of work spanning video, sculpture, installation, performance, and painting, Oursler came to Foo Fighters’ attention via his work with David Bowie, specifically his video for Bowie's landmark January 2013 single "Where Are We Now?".
But Here We Are, which follows on from 2021's Medicine at Midnight, and features Dave Grohl on drum duties for the first time since 2005’s In Your Honor.
"The Teacher" is out now. But Here We Are arrives on 2 June via Roswell Records/Columbia Records and is available to pre-order.
