Bassist Walter Gervers left Foals in 2018 after 12 years of playing with the band.
Foals revealed the news on their socials, in a letter that said Gervers had left to "pursue a new life". Gervers had been in Foals since 2006, working on the albums Antidotes, Total Life Forever, Holy Fire, and What Went Down.
Now, six years later, Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis has revealed that Gervers has rejoined the band ahead of their forthcoming underplay dates/Reading headline, noting that "Walter is back & better than ever."
Foals have released two albums since Gervers' departure – Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, and 2022's Life Is Yours.
