Floating Points announces album release parties in Manchester and London
Sam Shepherd aka Floating Points has announced two release parties in support of his forthcoming new album Cascade.
Floating Points will be celebrating the album release on Friday 13 September, in Manchester on the rooftop of Depot Mayfield. He has also announced that on 15 September he will be playing a ‘Floating Points & Friends x NTS’ party at a secret London location to be announced. At both events he will be road-testing his new Sunflower Soundsystem which he built over this summer.
Elaborating on the new soundsystem, Shepherd says: “After 15 years of being lucky enough to be let loose to dj on some of the worlds best systems, this is the manifestation of all bits of systems I love. From Shortys Kong system in NYC to Cosmic Slop in Leeds and Precious Hall in Sapporo to name a few. I’ve taken inspiration and a whole lot of technical learning from these dedicated engineers. It’s a project of passion to build my own system, to experiment with it, and finally share the system with everyone.”
