FKA Twigs says new techno-inspired album will be released this year
FKA twigs has revealed that she will be releasing a techno-inspired album later this year.
Taking to her Discord page, FKA twigs revealed that the follow-up to her 2022 mixtape CAPRISONGS is inspired by techno: "I moved to Prague a couple summers ago, fell in love with techno. The album isn’t techno but the spirit is there fr," she wrote.
Revealing more about the album, to someone who asked about collaborations on the release, she said: "Koreless mainly and other talented friends". When another user wrote that they hope it will be a solo release, she replied: "probs will be ngl, not 100 yet, caprisongs was collab heavy. i don't like to repeat myself." In terms of the overall feel of the album, twigs added: "it's deep but not sad".

In 2022, FKA Twigs shared the song, "Killer", as her first new outing since appearing on Yung Lean's "Bliss". Last year, she shared a preview of her upcoming work with Koreless at Valentino's recent Paris Fashion Week show, where she premiered "Unearth Her".
In her controversial campaign with Calvin Klein, which has been banned for presenting her as “a stereotypical sexual object”, she also shared an unreleased track. FKA twigs wrote of the campaign, "It’s an honour to be the new face of @calvinklein and to have worked so closely with some of my dearest friends to create something that i believe reflects me as a woman and artist."
FKA Twigs is yet to share a release date for the forthcoming body of work.
