Father John Misty announces new album, Mahashmashana
Josh Tillman – AKA Father John Misty – has unveiled details for his forthcoming sixth studio album, Mahashmashana.
Mahashmashana includes the singles “I Guess Time Makes Fools of Us All,” “She Cleans Up,” “Screamland,” and “Josh Tillman and The Accidental Dose.” To accompany the album announcement Father John Misty has shared his new single “Screamland”, a seven -minute epic which features Alan Sparhawk from Low on guitar and a striking string arrangement written by Drew Erickson.
Commenting on the video Estefania Kröl says: “The video is a visual journey through the depths of "Screamland", capturing the essence of both the music and the artists. Father John Misty blends seamlessly into the scene, becoming a part of the city, a living echo of ‘Screamland.’”
Additonally, Father John Misty has announced news of UK & EU tour dates for April 2025 including a performance at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall, and shows in Brighton, Edinburgh, Paris, Berlin, and Stockholm.

Mahashmashana will be released on 22 November in the UK & Europe via Bella Union and Sub Pop for the rest world. The album is available to pre-order now.
