Fat White Family unveil their first single in four years, "Religion For One"
South London's infamous Fat White Family have returned with "Religion For One" as their first release in four years, following 2019's Serfs Up album.
Since the release of Serfs Up, Fat White Family have kept themselves busy by supporting Liam Gallagher at his biggest solo show at Knebworth, creating and screening a Bergman-tinged short film, Moonbathing in February, and frontman Lias Saoudi wrote a bestselling account of the band’s tumultuous rise to mid-level fame – Fat White Family and the Miracle of Failure.
Now they return with the brand new single, "Religion For One". The accompanying video was shot in Paris and directed by ‘The Dream Machine’ Michael William West.
"Abject narcissism is our only real code of conduct anymore. Everything is thinly veiled self-interest. The post-modern post social media condition constitutes a complete death of outwardness. We are smothered by the infinite present. We have swapped art for the history of art. The game is up. The party’s over…NO SURRENDER!," the band says.
"Religion For One" is out now via Domino Records.
