Fans react to Jennifer Hudson and Reneé Rapp singing "Dangerously In Love" by Destiny's Child
Sex Lives of College Girls actress and Broadway star Reneé Rapp was the special guest on the most recent episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, where the pair discussed their careers, and their love of Destiny's Child.
Renee Rapp first appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show eight months ago, when she was gearing up to release her debut studio album, Snow Angel. During her appearance on Monday (9 October), when Hudson asked Rapp about her early musical influences, she revealed that Destiny’s Child was a huge one for her.
Rapp revealed that she was also in a girl group called Daddy’s Little Girls. When Hudson reacted to the name, Rapp said: “That’s how I think of it much later in my life. I’m like, is this not weird? For sure, like absolutely.”
The duo then took a moment to bond over their love for Destiny's Child – "Destiny's Child was my everything," revealed Rapp, with Hudson in instant agreement – before Hudson asked Rapp if she would be interested in singing a duet on "Dangerously In Love", as it is her favourite song of theirs.

Since the duet has been circulated online, fans have shared their reactions, with many in agreement that the song isn't suited to Jennifer Hudson's voice. One user of X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: "Jhud treats these lil moments like karaoke but I miss her actually PERFORMING. When she broke into song on The Voice, no one could touch her n those clips still go viral to this day".
Other people pointed out that it's not easy to pull off a Beyoncé number: "doesn’t matter how good you can sing.. mariah carey wasn’t lying when she said that singing a beyoncé song is risky and difficult", one person wrote, whilst another said: "Beyoncé can sing Jennifer Hudson , but can jennifer Hudson sing Beyoncé".
