FaltyDL reunites with Mykki Blanco on new song "One Way Or Another"
FaltyDL has reunited with frequent collaborator Mykki Blanco for the fourth single to be lifted from his upcoming album A Nurse to My Patience.
After working on Mykki Blanco's October album Stay Close To Music, FaltyDL has reunited with them for his fourth A Nurse to My Patience single "One Way Or Another".
FaltyDL, real name Drew Lustman, says of the collaboration, ""One Way Or Another", Mykki could be my brother. Our ongoing collaboration has been the most freeing musical experience of my life, and at this stage we can anticipate each others moves and ideas. I feel so strong with their presence in my life, and I owe a lot of this phase of my career to them and their belief in me. This song is the ribbon on my album, the tempo to my patience."
A Nurse to My Patience will follow FaltyDL's 2016 album Heaven Is For Quitters, and will feature previous singles "Berlin", "God Light" featuring Joe Goddard and Julianna Barwick collaboration "Four Horses", as well as other contributions from Paul Banks of Interpol, Brad Laner and Brian DeGraw.
"My last album Heaven Is for Quitters was a mountain I had to climb, and when I reached the top, I realised I wasn’t all that happy," he explains. "I knew I needed to be honest with myself and what I wanted to present to the world. A Nurse to My Patience is momentous to me on a personal level. I am singing, playing instruments, and collaborating with legends and heroes of mine."
"One Way Or Another" featuring Mykki Blanco is out now. FaltyDL's A Nurse to My Patience album will be released 11 November via Blueberry Records, and is available to pre-order now.
