The FADER has announced FADER and Friends Vol. 1, a 45-song collection of new cover songs benefitting trans rights organisations around the world.
The album will be available for sale exclusively on Bandcamp for one month, with 100% of the profits being donated evenly between the Transgender Law Center (US), Mermaids (UK), and the Rainbow Railroad (Canada).
The compilation features generous contributions from exciting and groundbreaking musicians from across the spectrum of modern music. FADER and Friends Vol. 1 arrives two years after Digital FORT, FADER’s pandemic-era charitable reconfiguration of theirannual SXSW event FADER Fort. Dozens of artists contributed exclusive videos to two single-day streaming events, which raised over $25,000 for organisations supporting musicians during the pandemic.
