Excursions announces a programme of industry talks and live music from Connie Constance, Sam Akpro and more
Excursions is a day-long affair designed to bridge the gap between young talents outside of London and the UK music industry. The event will feature live music, industry talks, and workshops.
Excursions, the organisers behind Community Interest Company Route, is set to bridge the gap between young talents residing outside of London and the UK music industry. The venue, Bedford Esquires, will be transformed into a hub of activity, with local and emerging artists gracing three separate live rooms.
Route strives to empower aspiring individuals from marginalised backgrounds to pursue fulfilling careers within the music industry. By confronting working-class underrepresentation head-on, Route aspires to foster a more inclusive and supportive music landscape, and Excursions is their latest foray in doing so.
British singer-songwriter Connie Constance is among the music line-up alongside Trout, Sam Akpro, Low Girl, The Itch, Balter, and many more still to be announced.
There will also be a series of panels and workshops which focus on how to get started in the music industry, how to find funding, and the importance of independent scenes and grassroots venues.
Excursions takes place on 7 October at Bedford Esquires. For more information, visit theroute.co.
