Eurythmics, Brandi Carlile, Pink and Judas Priest's Rob Halford join Dolly Parton to play "Jolene" at 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony
Dolly Parton was joined by Eurythmics, Brandi Carlile, Pink, Judas Priest's Rob Halford and more to perform her hit "Jolene" at this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony over the weekend.
On Saturday (5 November) Dolly Parton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the ceremony in LA by Pink. Parton said in April that she'd accept a Rock Hall induction despite originally turning down her 2022 nomination.
Pink performed a cover of "Coat Of Many Colors" with Brandi Carlile, while Sheryl Crow covered "9 To 5" with Zac Brown. Parton also played a new song called "Rockin", and was joined by a star-studded line-up including Eurythmics, Brandi Carlile, Pink, Judas Priest's Rob Halford, Duran Duran, Sheryl Crow, Simon Le Bon and more for her huge hit "Jolene".
During her speech, Parton said, "I'm a rock star now! Back when they said they were going to induct me into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I didn’t really think that I’d done enough to deserve that. I didn’t understand at the time. But this is a very, very special night for me."
Eminem, Eurythmics, Duran Duran, Carly Simon, Lionel Richie, Judas Priest and Pat Benatar were also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame over the weekend.
