Etta Marcus announces forthcoming mini album, The Death of Summer & Other Promises
Brixton-born singer-songwriter Etta Marcus has shared her new single, "Snowflake Suzie" alongside the announcement of her upcoming eight-track mini album The Death of Summer & Other Promises.
The Death of Summer & Other Promises features eight tracks written and produced by Etta Marcus and Josh Scarbrow, with co-writing from Matt Maltese. The forthcoming mini album features recent singles "Theatre" and "Little Wing" alongside new single "Snowflake Suzie'".
“Snowflake Suzie is someone I think everyone has crossed paths with at least once in life,” Etta Marcus explains. “They know how to have a destructively good time, even if it means becoming/causing collateral damage. The bare bones of it are melancholic, expressing sorrow for growing apart. The sonic contradiction professes a love that I will always have for Suzie and the fun that we used to have.”
Following a summer of live performances which took in shows at Latitude, Camp Bestival and Green Man, as well as opening for Lana Del Rey at BST Hyde Park, Etta Marcus is set to hit the road again with a run of six UK headline dates in January. ‘The Death Of Summer Tour’ kicks off on 28 January in Manchester and includes a show at The Garage in London on 30 January.
