
End of the Road Festival 2023 reveal the listings for their Cinema Stage
Well known for its array of non-musical activities, End of The Road Festival announces the return of the Cinema Stage to its 2023 edition.
Thursday’s selection has been chosen by festival founder and self proclaimed film buff Simon Taffe. “This year's cinema is super exciting with having Martin McDonagh and Mark Jenkin curate it who have made some of my favourite films” says Taffe.
Following up on Friday is cinema streaming specialist MUBI, who have announced a competition to win one year's subscription to the service, if you buy your End of the Road ticket between today (28 June) and 11 July.
Saturday's selection of films comes from award winner playwright and filmmaker Martin McDonagh (In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths, The Banshees of Insherin). Whilst director, editor, screenwriter and producer Mark Jenkin has curated Sunday’s listings. He wrote, directed and edited the 2022 experimental folk horror film, Enys Men, which will be screened inside the Big Top stage alongside the score performed live.
Alongside musical headliners such as King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Future Islands, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Wilco, Angel Olsen, Ezra Furman, Arooj Aftab and Greentea Peng - End of the Road is showcasing an outstanding programme of comedy and literature, including comedians Lou Sanders, Sara Pascoe, Lolly Adefope and Robin Ince join writers including Turner Prize winner Jeremy Deller, Miki Berenyi, Emma Warren and more.
