Elton John shares release date and clip of "Hold Me Closer" featuring Britney Spears
Elton John has uploaded a preview of his "Hold Me Closer" single featuring Britney Spears, and has revealed that it'll be arriving later this week.
Last month it was reported that Spears had joined John on a new version of his 1972 hit "Tiny Dancer", which they reportedly created at a Beverly Hills recording studio the previous week. Paris Hilton then said she'd heard the "iconic" collaboration, and Elton John confirmed its existence soon after, revealing that it's titled "Hold Me Closer".
John has since uploaded a 14-second preview of the Britney Spears collaboration, and also revealed that it's landing this Friday (26 August).

"Hold Me Closer" will mark Spears' first music release since her 13-year conservatorship was terminated in November last year. Spears' last album was 2016's Glory, and in 2020 she released the deluxe edition of the record which featured the bonus songs "Swimming in the Stars" and Backstreet Boys collaboration "Matches".
