Elisabeth Elektra announces new single "The Dream"
Elisabeth Elektra returns with "The Dream" – their first release of 2023.
Co-produced alongside Jonny Scott from CHVRCHES, the new single features guest synths from Ivor Novello winning musician Benjamin John Power (Blanck Mass, Editors). Barring a string of remixes, this is Elektra's first release since 2020's "Feeding Demons".
The video for The Dream was directed by BAFTA award winning Scottish film director Tim Courtney, and choreographed by Glasgow based choreographer Monika Smekot.
Of the connection between the single and video, Elektra says: “The song and visuals reflect the initiatory nature of relationship breakdowns that often culminate in increased personal power and connection to and expression of ones true will.”
Elektra’s new material has been recorded and co-produced alongside Jonny Scott (CHVRCHES) and mixed by Neil Comber (Charli XCX, Aurora) and James Cunningham (Nicki Minaj, BTS). Elektra is also part of the band ‘Silver Moth’ alongside members of Mogwai and Evi Vine.
"The Dream" is out now via Mogwai/Rock Action.
