Easy Life detail financial issues they would've experienced if North American tour went ahead
Easy Life have gone into more detail about the financial issues they would've experienced if their North American tour had gone ahead.
Last week Easy Life announced that their North American tour, which was due to take place in April and May, had been cancelled due to "insane costs", and yesterday (15 February) on Twitter, the band expanded on the cancellation, and also addressed why they're also not touring Europe.
Easy Life wrote, "fyi: for the north america tour the ultimate very best scenario was that we would spend only £50k with a bare bones crew/prod and make a max of possibly £35k back, the u.s now wants to up our kind of visas 250% to $1.6kpp, so that’s roughly £7.6k more to spend. so we lose £20k."
They continued, "fyi: on the eu tour we’d also have lost money, brexit’s causing havoc with moving merch around and you can’t just show up and make money without visas etc. taking the same show to a 1.6k cap in berlin and a 420 cap in oslo means wasted prod costs. we will refine our plans, brb."
