Dua Lipa shuts down World Cup Qatar 2022 performance speculation
Dua Lipa has shut down speculation that she'll be performing at the World Cup Qatar 2022 opening ceremony, saying she looks forward "to visiting Qatar when it has fulfilled all the human rights pledges it made when it won the right to host the World Cup."
Over the weekend Dua Lipa responded to speculation that she would be performing at the World Cup Qatar 2022 opening ceremony this Sunday (20 November), shutting down the claims and outlining her reasoning for not being involved.
"I will not be performing and nor have I ever been involved in any negotiation to perform," Dua Lipa wrote. "I will be cheering England on from afar and I look forward to visiting Qatar when it has fulfilled all the human rights pledges it made when it won the right to host the World Cup."
