Dua Lipa set to make her acting debut in Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie
Dua Lipa joins the cast of Greta Gerwig's Barbie film alongside Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling
In an Instagram post from the official Barbie movie, it has been revealed that Dua Lipa will star as Mermaid Barbie.
It has also been announced that Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ncuti Gatwa and Scott Evans will be playing variations on Ken, whilst Emma Mackey, Alexandra Shipp, Kate McKinnon, Hari Nef and more are playing variations of Barbie.
Even though the entire cast has now been unveiled, the plot is still tightly under wraps.

It is rumoured that Dua Lipa has recorded several brand new tracks for inclusion on the film's soundtrack, and is set to record the theme song for the movie.
In 2021, Dua Lipa announced that she’d make her acting debut in the spy thriller Argylle, which is yet to be released. Since she released Future Nostalgia in 2020 and the Future Nostalgia (The Moonlight Edition) in 2021, the singer has collaborated on new material with Megan Thee Stallion and Calvin Harris.
Barbie is released nationwide from 21 July via Warner Bros.
