Dry Cleaning deliver new song "Gary Ashby"
Dry Cleaning have delivered a third outing from their upcoming album Stumpwork titled "Gary Ashby".
"Gary Ashby" is, according to the band, "a lament about a pet tortoise, escaped as a result of family chaos," and will appear on Dry Cleaning's second album with earlier singles "Anna Calls From The Arctic" and "Don’t Press Me".
Dry Cleaning add of the song, "We wrote it in December 2020, one of the first new songs after the New Long Leg session."
Stumpwork will follow Dry Cleaning's 2021 debut album New Long Leg, and was recorded in rural Wales in late 2021 with producer John Parish and engineer Joe Jones.
"Gary Ashby" is out now. Dry Cleaning's Stumpwork album will arrive on 21 October via 4AD, and is available to pre-order now. They'll play London's O2 Academy Brixton on 3 March 2023. Tickets go on general sale 14 September at 10am BST via drycleaningband.com.
