Dream Wife to release their cover of t.A.T.u.'s "All The Things She Said"
Dream Wife have announced that they will be officially releasing their cover of t.A.T.u's 2002 hit single, "All The Things She Said".
Last year, they covered the song in their BBC 6 Music live session, and eventually put it in the set of their headline tour. Addressing the paradoxical legacy of the song, both championing queer culture, whilst "pandering heavily to the male gaze", and distilling "unashamed homophobia" in people, they had decided to do the cover with their "pansexual twist, speaking to the scope of all of our desires as a band - subverting this legacy while keeping it really fvcking queer".
Dream Wife have now been teasing the official release of their version of the song, though they are yet to reveal whether it is BBC 6 Music rendition, or if they have re-recorded it. Announcing the release on their socials, they wrote: "Teenage dream come true for us tbh".
Dream Wife's cover of t.A.T.u.'s "All The Things She Said" is set for release on 8 March.
