Doja Cat announces the forthcoming album, Scarlet
After months of teasing fans, and sending them down rabbit holes, Doja Cat has finally unveiled details of her forthcoming fourth studio album, Scarlet.
Doja Cat has officially announced the long-awaited follow-up to her 2021 album, Planet Her, after months of cryptic tweets which alluded to the ins and outs of the forthcoming release.
Following the release of "Attention", and "Paint The Town Red", Doja Cat reveals that her fourth studio album, Scarlet, will be released next month. She is expected to release “Demons” — the latest single from Scarlet — on Friday, after sharing a series of visual teasers for the song on her social media pages.
Doja Cat recently came under fire for telling her fans that they were "creepy" for using her government name in their social media profiles, and also remarking that she didn't love them, because she didn't know them.
After losing a reported amount of 500,000 followers, she shared a statement on her Instagram story to break her silence on the ordeal, stating that she now feels free. "Seeing all these people unfollow makes me feel like I’ve defeated a large beast that’s been holding me down for so long, and it feels like I can reconnect with people who really matter and love me for who i am and not for who i was," she wrote.
Doja Cat's fourth studio album, Scarlet, arrives on 22 September.
