Dilly Dally reveal they're breaking up and share new songs "Colour of Joy" and "Morning Light"
Toronto's Dilly Dally are calling it quits, and have announced a final show and released not just one, but two new songs titled "Colour of Joy" and "Morning Light".
Dilly Dally haven't released any new music since 2019's "Gender Role", but today (2 March) two new songs have landed titled "Colour of Joy" and "Morning Light", but they also arrive with sad news of the band coming to an end.
Dilly Dally wrote in an Instagram post, which also announces their final show at Toronto's Lee's Palace: "Thank you to anyone who's ever come to see us perform, the artists who've inspired us, and everyone in the extended DD family. It’s time for us to move forward and continue our journeys separately.
"We wanted to say goodbye on a positive note. That's why we are self-releasing two new songs today. Recorded close to home in Toronto, they came about naturally over the last year or so.
"For anyone who's shown support in any way, from fans to friends to collaborators: We could not have accomplished what we did without each of you, and will be forever grateful."
"Colour of Joy" and "Morning Light" are both out now. Dilly Dally's final show takes place on 27 May. Tickets go on general sale tomorrow, 3 March at 10am local time.
