Destroyer announce new album, Dan's Boogie alongside EU/UK tour dates
Destroyer has announced the forthcoming album, Dan’s Boogie, alongside a David Galloway-directed music video for lead single, "Bologna (feat. Fiver)".
"I haven’t written many songs like ‘Bologna’. I struggled singing the first and third verses, the most important parts of the song," says Dan Bejar of enlisting Fiver's Simone Schmidt for the new single. "They needed gravity and grit. The threat of disappearing needed to be real. So I called Simone."
The forthcoming album, Dan's Boogie, is the follow up to recent releases including 2022's Labyrinthitis, and 2020's Have We Met.
The full seven-piece Destroyer band embarks on a brief tour of the UK and Europe in June. With shows in Manchester, Bristol and at London’s Islington Assembly Hall on 12 June as well as performances at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Porto.
