Deer park details new album, Matinee

Matinee follows Deer park's debut album Terra Infirma released last year. New single "Feathers" arrives after recent standalone singles with NINA (of Bar Italia) and Berlin artist Valeria Litvakov. The track features vocals from eaturing a sing-song melody with vocals from Litvakov, as well as past collaborator Ivy Knight.

Speaking about the track, Deer park says that it's "one of the last songs finished for the album, it's an introspective celebration of its themes — interlaced melodies washed in green."

Matinee expands on the world of Deer park with more electronic experimentation, as well as further contributions from Danish singer-songwriter and violist Astrid Sonne. It continues to build on his sense of melancholy and dystopia, which has previously seen him welcome collaborations with the likes of Chanel Beads, fakemink, and more.

Next month, Deer park is set to embark on a tour across the EU and UK for seven shows. This includes an appearance at Pitchfork Paris, as well as further stops in Brussels, Dublin, Bristol, Copenhagen, and Barcelona.
