deep tan return with new single, "xenomorph queen"
London-based, subversive post-punk trio deep tan have released standalone single "xenomorph queen" ahead of their forthcoming November tour opening for Queens Of The Stone Age.
Since they first emerged with their debut EP creeping speedwells in 2021, the band went on to release "tamu’s yiffing refuge" – a Dan Carey-produced single with his legendary label Speedy Wunderground. This was then followed up by their second EP, last year's diamond horsetail.
Speaking of the new release, the band say: ""xenomorph queen" witnesses the real star of the alien franchise in a new context: in the throes of a lesbian romance. a sensual – but still punk – track about matriarchy, queer parenting and sapphic love, this close encounter offers a new, intergalactic perspective on #hotmilfsinyourarea #xenomilf”
