After releasing their Asphalt Meadows album last month, Death Cab For Cutie decided to cover Liz Phair's "Go West" for SiriusXMU.
Death Cab For Cutie's version of Phair's "Go West" was recorded live for SiriusXMU, and released over the weekend. The original song appeared on Phair's 1994 album Whip-Smart.
As well as releasing their new album Asphalt Meadows last month, lead vocalist Ben Gibbard spoke about being heavily included in The O.C., saying, "it's an odd chapter in our band’s history that is now 25 years deep."
Death Cab For Cutie's Asphalt Meadows album is out now.
