Deap Vally are holding a pop-up sale of their custom stage outfits
Following the recent announcement of their disbanding, Deap Vally have announced a pop-up sale of a selection of their custom stage pieces, throughout the years.
The pop-up sale is set to take place on 1 February, coinciding with the re-recorded version of their debut album and final release, SISTRIONIX 2.0, to celebrate its tenth anniversary.
Announcing their split, the band wrote: “We need to find the balance where we can focus on the fun stuff, but have the freedom to make the music we love,” Troy concluded. “We just felt it would be fitting to go out with a bang, not a whimper. I felt marking this occasion should be a cathartic process: healing deep wounds, reconnecting with old friends and collaborators – and falling in love with Deap Vally all over again.”
Lindsey Troy's red white and blue fringed unitard which was worn on numerous tours, as well as in the "Royal Jelly" music video will be available to purchase. Other items include outfits from the "Ventilator Blues" and "End of the World" music videos, and a blazer that Troy wore at the 2013 NME Awards.
The forthcoming double LP, SISTRIONIX 2.0, will include demos, previously unreleased covers, re-recordings of limited release b-sides and rarities and more.
To commemorate their swan-song moment, Deap Vally are set to perform a series of final concert appearances, where they will play SISTRIONIX in its entirety. The band will celebrate the tenth anniversary of the album with US tour dates on the west coast in November and will play shows on in the midwest and east coast in early 2024. UK dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
The limited sale is live from 1-7 February. You can now preview the items available for sale at deapvally.com.
