Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin's 2022 Hanukkah sessions to feature Karen O, Pink, Beck and more
Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin's annual Hannukah sessions is due to return next week, and will reportedly feature collaborations with Karen O, Pink, Beck and more.
Back in 2020 Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and longtime collaborator Greg Kurstin launched the Hanukkah sessions, which saw them share daily covers across the eight days of Hanukkah. In the past two years, the duo recorded the covers in a studio, but now pandemic restrictions have eased, it looks like Grohl and Kurstin recorded their 2022 edition of the Hanukkah sessions live at LA's Largo at the Coronet venue with some special guests.
The gig took place on Monday (5 December) night according to setlist.fm, and featured appearances from Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O, Pink, Beck, Jack Black, Kyle Gass, Grohl's daughter Violet, Inara George, and comedian Judd Apatow, and they covered songs by Pink, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beck, Rush, 10cc, Randy Newman and others.
Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin will likely release their first Hanukkah session cover of 2022 on 18 December.
