Cosmo Sheldrake announces new Wild Wet World EP
Cosmo Sheldrake announces new EP Wild Wet World and celebrates the release with lead single "Bathed In Sound", which was co-written by The Earth as part of Brian Eno's recent Earth Percent campaign.
"Bathed In Sound" is Sheldrake's first new outing since "No. 3" arrived in March 2022, and is, in his own words, "a song about trying to imagine myself as a whale floating in the ocean, immersed in a liquid medium full of sound, surrounded by plankton and the immense wild wetness of the ocean."
Wild Wet World is an immersive EP featuring field recordings of marine life and environments, and will follow his 2020 album Wake Up Calls, which catalogued endangered bird species in the UK. The music on Wild Wet World is composed entirely out of recordings of animals and the sonic worlds which they inhabit.
A percentage of the publishing royalties from this track will be donated to "The Earthâ as part of Brian Eno's Earth Percent The Earth as Your Co-writer scheme, which allows artists can set up "The Earth" as a songwriter and recipient of music royalties on specific tracks.
