Coco return with first new single of 2022 "Rough Water"
Coco, the collaborative project of Dirty Projectors' Maia Friedman, Lucius' Dan Molad and Pavo Pavo's Oliver Hill, have delivered their new track "Rough Water", which marks their first new material of 2022.
"Rough Water" is the trio's first new track since releasing their self-titled debut album in October last year, and arrives ahead of their London Omeara show and End of the Road Festival performance in September.
Speaking about recording the track in Joshua Tree, Coco say, "The open space out there really lends itself to loud music. It brings about a desire to shout into the emptiness. The lyrics are partly a love letter to the angry spirits and partly a self-entreaty to inhale and relish in the chaos of life."
"Rough Water" is out now on First City Artists. Coco will play London's Omeara on 2 September, and End of the Road Festival the following day. Visit cocosongs.com for tickets.
