Cleo Sol reveals new song "Fear When You Fly" is dropping tonight

Cleo Sol recently sat down with Apple Music's Zane Lowe to reflect on her career, the past three albums that she has released, and how her new experience of motherhood have impacted her creativity.

Last September, Cleo Sol dropped the album, Heaven, which came on the heels of her second album, Mother, released in 2021. A week later, came Gold. "To be fair, it was off the cuff," Cleo Sol said about the surprise release. "So it was like I wanted to put music out and 'Heaven' was a mix of stuff we had which I loved which we had compiled together, and then 'Gold' was a finished product. But I was like, we can't just leave 'Heaven.' Heaven's not to be left. Heaven's to be loved and given, because otherwise we call them hard drive classics. They just stay in the studio forever."

"Fear When You Fly" is the follow-up to both Heaven and Gold; marking Cleo Sol's first release in over a year. As their interview comes to a close, Zane Lowe asks if Cleo Sol is working on any new music. " I'm always making new music. To put it out, that's another story – this stuff I do want to put out, so [I'm] in the process of building it," she says, before sharing a snippet of "Fear When You Fly".
