Clara Mann announces forthcoming debut album, Rift
London-based multi-disciplinary artist Clara Mann has announced her debut album, Rift, and shares new single "'Til I Come Around".
"'Til I Come Around' is about intimacy, in every sense," Clara Mann says of the new single. "Sometimes the flip side of beautiful, intense things is very dark- and once you know that, once you’ve lived it once, it’s hard to live the beautiful things without thinking about the heaviness. This is about trying to live with all those contradictions, about bitterness and loss, about love, about passion."
Clara Mann’s evocative debut album navigates the fractured environment of the in-between—those liminal spaces exposed between light and dark, growth and remorse, loss and reclamation. It is a record that makes a strong case for hope, those luminescent silver linings in the dark.
After releasing her second EP Stay Open in 2022, the time and space between then and now has culminated in Rift, which vividly gestures toward the fractures and ruptures that define our lives. In celebration of the album's release, Mann will embark on UK headline shows in Bristol, London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
Rift is set for release on 7 March via state51 and will be available on vinyl, including a limited Dinked Edition LP. Visit state51.greedbag.com for more information.
