Clairo shares new “Lavender” demo to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders
On Friday evening, Clairo shared an unreleased demo via Bandcamp, with all proceeds going towards raising funds for Doctors Without Borders.
Earlier this year, Clairo released another Bandcamp demo, "For Now", which marked her first solo release since the 2021 album, Sling.
The proceeds for "For Now" were split equally and donated between two non-profit organisations. For The Gworls – the "Black, trans-led collective that curates parties to fundraise money to help Black transgender people pay for their rent, gender-affirming surgeries and small co-pays" – as well as Everytown who are the largest gun violence prevention organisation in America.
"Lavender" will be available exclusively on Bandcamp and can be bought and downloaded for $1. Funds raised with every purchase will be going to Doctors Without Borders – a charity that provides humanitarian medical care. It is a non-governmental organisation of French origin known for its projects in conflict zones and in countries affected by endemic diseases
Clario also included a link to a recent article published by the organisation’s international president, Dr. Christos Christou, calling for “unconditional humanity” to be restored in Gaza.
"Lavender" is available now. For more information, visit clairecottrill.bandcamp.com.
