City and Colour shares new single "F*cked It Up"
City and Colour has released new cut "Fucked It Up" as the latest taster of his forthcoming album The Love Still Held Me Near.
"Fucked It Up" is the third preview of City and Colour's upcoming seventh album, following "Underground" and "Meant To Be", and is accompanied by a Michael Maxxis-directed video.
"I wanted to write a playful song about the trials and tribulations of being in a relationship," City and Colour, real name Dallas Green, says. "When you are young, you’re sold on this idea of what life is supposed to be…get married, have kids, and live happily ever after. But that’s not real life. You change. Life evolves and you evolve with it. This song is for everyone who’s going through it."
The Love Still Held Me Near will follow his 2019 album A Pill for Loneliness, and is produced by Green and his longtime bandmate and collaborator Matt Kelly.
"Fucked It Up" is out now. City and Colour's The Love Still Held Me Near album will be released on 31 March through Still Records, and will be available to pre-order tomorrow.
