City and Colour announces new album The Love Still Held Me Near
City and Colour has announced his seventh album The Love Still Held Me Near, and has unveiled a new track titled "Underground" to accompany the news.
After returning in November 2022 with "Meant To Be", City and Colour, aka Dallas Green, has released his first track of 2023, "Underground", which arrives with details of his The Love Still Held Me Near album.
The Love Still Held Me Near will follow his 2019 album A Pill for Loneliness, and is produced by Green and his longtime bandmate and collaborator Matt Kelly.
Green says, "The Love Still Held Me Near was born out of unimaginable loss and the subsequent journey through the grief and heartache that followed. It’s about digging deep down into yourself and attempting to unearth hope and light in the things that can comfort you through those times. For me that has always been writing and recording music, so that’s exactly what I did."
