Westwood became an icon in shaping the '70s UK punk scene, and used fashion to promote political causes such as climate change, nuclear disarmament, civil rights groups and more. Inn 2006, her OBE advanced to a DBE 2006 for her "services to fashion".
Chrissie Hynde, Garbage, Boy George, Billy Idol, YUNGBLUD, Sean Ono Lennon, Bryan Adams, Jodie Harsh and more have paid tribute to the late punk icon online.
Vivienne is gone and the world is already a less interesting place. Love you Viv.
