Chris Moyles called out for saying "most unsigned bands are crap"
Chris Moyles is receiving backlash after saying that "most unsigned bands are crap" live on his Radio X show last week.
Last week during his Radio X show, Chris Moyles responded to comments on Twitter asking why he doesn't play new music on his show, saying it's not his responsibility and it's "not what this show is all about". After making a strange butcher analogy, Moyles added, "And the real reason is, and this will blow their tiny minds and they'll hate this, the reason why we won't play unsigned bands is because - and there are exceptions to the rule - but the main reason is that most unsigned bands are crap."
Here’s that daft @ChrisMoyles rant about @indierock01’s tweet yesterday on @RadioX What an embarrassment for him @jokewapo played a blinder. pic.twitter.com/RUcbd15u62

The radio DJ has since been criticised online for his comments, with one writing, "Chris Moyles using the “libraries don’t sell sausages” analogy to describe an indie radio DJ refusing to play music from new bands is certainly something."
Another wrote, "I think it’s time we all boycotted @RadioX isn’t it? Never mind the fact it just plays endless lad/dad-rock on repeat, the fact one of its major presenters said this… incredible. You do realise @ChrisMoyles that every band you play, were at one point unsigned right?"
One person added, "The biggest surprise from Chris Moyles moronic unsigned bands rant is that people seem to actually listen to Radio X for the music in the first place!"
Earlier this month Chris Moyles apologised for announcing a new Foo Fighters album live on air.
