Charli XCX to star in forthcoming Joan of Arc film, Sacrifice
Charli XCX has been announced as part of the cast for Romain Gavras' forthcoming film, Sacrifice.
Sacrifice is a contemporary retelling of Joan of Arc's story. The film will be the first feature from the French director Romain Gavras, which is predominantly in English-language. Having previously worked on music videos for the likes of M.I.A., Kanye West, and Jamie xx; his movie credits include Athena (2022), The World Is Yours (2018), and Our Day Will Come (2010).
Starring in lead roles for Sacrifice, are the likes of Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Salma Hayek Pinault, and Sam Richardson. Alongside Charli XCX and yung lean, the new additions include John Malkovich, Jeremy O. Harris, and Vincent Cassel.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Charli XCX will star alongside Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman in the forthcoming Gregg Araki movie, I Want Your Sex. Meanwhile, on 16 November, she will star as the host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
Sacrifice is slated for release next year.
