Charli XCX asks fans not to chant negative messages about Taylor Swift at her shows: "I will not tolerate it"
Charli XCX has shared a short statement asking fans not to chant about Taylor Swift at her shows.
In a post shared on her Instagram Stories, Charli XCX has responded to footage of fans shouting "Taylor is dead", at a recent show in São Paolo.
Bringing it to her attention, one person posted a video with the caption, "Hey @charli_xcx, your brazilian fans have been showing toxic behavior by screaming “Taylor is dead!” in your concerts and events related to you. Could you do something about it? We don’t belive that’s what music should be about."

In response to this, Charli XCX wrote: “can the people who do this please stop. online or at my shows. it is the opposite of what i want and it disturbs me that anyone would think there is room for this in this community. i will not tolerate it.”
This comes after fans speculated that Swift released a UK-only version of The Tortured Poets Department in order to block Charli XCX for taking the number one spot on the UK charts with her latest album, BRAT.
