Chanel Loren presents love letter to herself, "Ebony"
Sydney based singer-songwriter Chanel Loren has shared new single, "Ebony", which is taken from her forthcoming EP, BETWEEN2WORLDS.
On the track, Chanel Loren says: “’Ebony’ is the audio hug I needed. I wanted to make a song that was a conversation between me and my inner child, to check in and show wisdom, grace and hope to myself. I named it Ebony as a message to other black girls and women, letting them know that they are enough and that everything happens when it is supposed to.”
The past year was spent not only working on her craft, but also reflecting and realigning during a time in which writer's block and imposter syndrome challenged and pushed her. The product of that year created BETWEEN2WORLDS, an EP that finally reflects who she truly is as both a person and an artist, while celebrating her identity as a Black Brit in Australia.
BETWEEN2WORLDS, is set for release on 12 July, and is available to pre-order now.
