Celeste announces comeback single, "This Is Who I Am"
Celeste has announced her highly anticipated return with the release of her new single, "This Is Who I Am".
The song serves as the title track for the upcoming Sky and Peacock Original series The Day of the Jackal, starring Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch. Based on Frederick Forsyth’s acclaimed novel, the series follows an elite assassin, The Jackal (Redmayne), as he works towards carrying out a seemingly impossible hit. However, his actions soon attract the attention of a British intelligence officer, Bianca (Lynch), who sets out to hunt him down before his next kill.
Gareth Neame, CEO & Executive Producer, and Nigel Marchant, Managing Director & Executive Producer, Carnival Films, said; "Celeste's ‘This Is Who I Am’ perfectly encapsulates the essence of The Day of the Jackal—both propulsive and distinctive. We were looking for a song that would leave a lasting impression, and Celeste’s powerful performance does just that, bringing a wonderful depth and intensity to the title sequence.”
"This Is Who I Am" is out on 6 November via Polydor Records. The Day of the Jackal premieres on Sky and NOW in the UK on 7 November, and on Peacock in the US on 14 November.
