Caroline Rose shares new song "The Doldrums"
Caroline Rose has unveiled their new track "The Doldrums" as the third taster of their forthcoming album The Art of Forgetting.
"The Doldrums" follows last month's "Miami" single, and will appear on their upcoming album with last year's "Love / Lover / Friend".
Rose says of the new outing, ""The Doldrums" was the song I wrote when I was realising I had basically no understanding of self-compassion. It’s about the voice inside my head that blames me for everything that’s ever gone wrong, mostly things out of my control. My idea of rebirth and reformation at the time was killing off my old self and finding a new one, rather than simply being kind to myself…Not because I didn’t want to be, but because I didn’t really know how."
The Art of Forgetting is produced by Rose, and will follow their 2020 album Superstar.
"The Doldrums" is out now. Caroline Rose's The Art of Forgetting album will be released on 24 March via New West Records, and is available to pre-order now.
