Caroline Polachek unveils Danny L Harle-produced song for Last Days opera loosely based on Kurt Cobain
Caroline Polachek has released "Non Voglio Mai Vedere Il Sole Tramontare", a Danny L Harle-produced song that features in the Last Days opera, which is based on Gus Van Sant's 2005 film of the same name.
Yesterday (6 October) Polachek announced that a new track called "Sunset" is arriving later this month, but also teased fans with "something else" arriving today (7 October). That treat is an opera song produced by Danny L Harle that features in the opera version of Gus Van Sant's 2005 film Last Days.
The song, titled "Non Voglio Mai Vedere Il Sole Tramontare", is Polachek's first outing since appearing on Flume's "Sirens" in March (although she did produce Hyd's July single "Afar", and also covered Nancy Sinatra's "Bang Bang" for the Minions: The Rise of Gru soundtrack).
Much like Gus Van Sant's film, Last Days is loosely based on Kurt Cobain, which is a fictionalised account of the final days of a musician called Blake. The opera opens today at the Royal Opera House until Tuesday (11 October).
Caroline Polachek's opera song "Non Voglio Mai Vedere Il Sole Tramontare" is out now, and "Sunset" will arrive on 17 October.
