Caroline Polachek joins Lorde at Sziget Festival to perform "Green Light"
Yesterday evening (14 August), during her headline set at Sziget Festival 2023, Lorde invited Caroline Polachek on stage for a duet.
The duo gave a surprise performance of Lorde's 2017 song “Green Light", which features on her Melodrama album, towards the end of Lorde's set which featured songs such as "Royals", "Tennis Court", "Buzzcut Season", and "Ribs".
“Give it up for Lorde,” Polachek said at the end of the performance, whilst Lorde added: “Caroline Polachek, everybody! Thank you so much and goodnight!”

Lorde is currently on a run of European festival slots, which have included All Together Now Festival in Ireland, Øya Festival in Oslo, Norway, and Flow Festival in Helsinki, Finland. Last week, she debuted two new songs at Boardmasters Festival in Cornwall. The track which is said to be titled "Silver Moon", was also played at Sziget Festival.
"Silver Moon", and "Invisible Ink" – the other song to be debuted at Boardmasters festival – were speculated to be from the forthcoming follow-up to her 2021 album, Solar Power – her first album in four years since 2017’s Melodrama – but unfortunately Lorde quickly quelled those rumours.
Replying to a fan who said she was lying when she said that the songs weren't taken from an upcoming project, she said: “Literally just decided to set these free from my laptop .... but they're not bad eh... beautiful and fun for fests I thought."
Lorde is set to complete her summer run of shows at Parades De Coura Festival, Portugal, tomorrow evening.
