BTS' Jin unveils new single "The Astronaut" co-written with Coldplay
Jin of BTS has shared his new solo single "The Astronaut", which was co-written with Coldplay.
"The Astronaut" was co-written with Coldplay, marking their second collaboration after last year's "My Universe" song, and is accompanied by a Yong Seok Choi-directed video.
Last week the BTS Twitter account shared a text message exchange between Jin and Coldplay's Chris Martin, where the Coldplay vocalist wrote, "When we spoke about you having to leave for a while and missing the band and your fans, it was really powerful. I think the song found its way because of that conversation."
Once he completes the release schedule for "The Astronaut", Jin will be the first BTS member to begin the process of completing his mandatory military service. It was revealed earlier this month that all members will move forward with completing their mandatory military service in South Korea, and are planning to reunite as a group in 2025.
