BTS' j-hope starts military enlistment procedure, will release new solo single "on the street" this week
j-hope of BTS has started his military enlistment process, and has also announced a new solo single titled "on the street" that's landing later this week.
Following the release of his j-hope IN THE BOX documentary special earlier this month, j-hope will deliver a new solo outing titled "on the street" later this week, which will be his first single since his debut solo album Jack In The Box arrived in July last year.

As well as preparing to release "on the street" this week, Billboard reports that j-hope has started the process to begin his mandatory military service.
Big Hit Music said in a statement on Weverse, "We would like to inform our fans that j-hope has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement. We will inform you of further updates in due course. We ask you for your continued love and support for j-hope until he completes his military service and safely returns. Our company will spare no effort in providing support for our artist."
j-hope will be the second BTS member to enlist for South Korea's mandatory military service, following Jin, who started his military service in December last year. South Korean men aged 18-30 have to spend a year-and-a-half in the military to contribute to the country’s readiness for a potential conflict with North Korea.
j-hope will release his new single "on the street" this Friday, 3 March.
