
Bright Eyes debut songs from forthcoming album at surprise Chicago show
On Friday evening, Bright Eyes played a secret show at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall alongside Neva Dinova.
Billed on the lineup as "7:55 Saturday Radical Stage Riot Boys" – a reference to their performance at Riot Fest next weekend – the trio played songs such as "Mariana Trench", "Method Acting", and "First Day of My Life" which was sandwiched between a cover of Thin Lizzy's "Running Back", and "Sorry You're Sick" by Ted Hawkins.

Elsewhere in the set, they debuted songs from their forthcoming album, Five Dice, All Threes, including “Bells And Whistles,” “El Capitan,” “Bas Jan Ader,” “Real Feel 105°,” and “Tiny Suicides,” as is shown on setlist.fm. A night of many firsts, they also revisited the 2004 album, One Jug Of Wine, Two Vessels to play “Happy Accident” for the first time.
Five Dice, All Threes, is set for release on 20 September via Dead Oceans, available to pre-order now.
