Bree Runway, RØRY, Matilda Mann and Connie Constance to perform in support of War Child's Day Of The Girl
Bree Runway, Connie Constance, Matilda Mann and RØRY are all set to perform intimate live shows in venues across London throughout the week commencing 7 October in support of War Child.
British singer and rapper Bree Runway will kick off the series of shows on 8 October at Lafayette, London on the same day as alternative rock artist RØRY at 100 Club, London.
“The spirit of empowerment at the core of everything I create. I am beyond excited to collaborate with War Child for the Day of the Girl," says Bree Runway. "It fills my heart with joy to know that through this project, and the night I'll headline, we can be a vessel of uplift and encouragement for women. I'm deeply grateful to team up with War Child to contribute to real change and opportunity for the next generation. It’s going to be an electrifying night, and I can’t wait to pour my heart out on stage, celebrating a truly important cause.”
RØRY, Heavy Music Awards' 2024 UK Breakthrough Artist, recently supported War Child by donating all the money raised through her track "MORALITY $UICIDE" and a bespoke t-shirt sale. “When girls stand together, there's nothing we can't achieve. Day of the Girl is an amazing opportunity to celebrate the power of female unity and lift each other up to create a better future," she said.
Indie-folk artist Matilda Mann will take to the stage at Lafayette on 9 October, and Connie Constance will play at The Lexington on 12 October.
Connie Constance said: “I’m honoured to be part of War Child’s Day of the Girl! It’s incredibly important to me to be empowering women through my music so I’m excited to be celebrating our feminine power by headlining one of the shows. Equal opportunity for all children is a dream I too share. With so much devastation happening around the world I’m grateful that I can be a part of the change whilst sharing the stage with some of the most interesting alternative artists coming out of the UK. Expect a night of indie party, front women rockstars and raw talent.”
Clare Sanders-Wright, Live Music Lead at War Child said: “We are so excited to be launching the Day of the Girl 2024 shows, with the incredible Bree Runway, RØRY, Matilda Mann, and Connie Constance headlining this year. A staggering £150K has been raised through ticket sales and fundraising through Day of the Girl since 2021, with some of the UK’s most innovative female-identifying artists sharing their voices to dial up War Child’s message and work."
Pre-sale is available now until tomorrow at 10am. General sale begins on 2 September at 10am via DICE and See Tickets.
